Our Services
The Courthouse Café
The cafe's cozy and inviting atmosphere makes it a popular spot for both locals and visitors.
Share Ardess @ The Courthouse
“we share because we care”
Share Ardess was the name chosen for the foodbank service initiated by Ardess Parish Church in 2011. Food donations were received at Ardess Parish Centre and then at the old courthouse building and the “Praxis bungalow” until the new Courthouse Centre was constructed and opened in October 2019. Since 2011, volunteers have prepared and delivered food parcels to those most in need; helped with practical work and generally befriended those most lonely and isolated.
Christmas dinners have been provided, since 2014, to those living alone or in need of support – always in the parish centre, with entertainment provided – except during the pandemic when meals were delivered to recipients.
In 2015, money management advice services were added, this being in conjunction with Christians Against Poverty (CAP).
